Vitreous Enamel Panels in Central Wanchai Bypass Tunnel
Hey… We are glad to tell you that Central Wanchai Bypass Tunnel has opened to traffic in Hong Kong on 20 January 2019.
As the wall cladding manufacturer, TECO supplied our vitreous enamel panels with a total area quantity up to 76,000m² for this project.

The tunnel costs HK$36 billion in total and it consists of a 4.5 km dual three-lanes. This tunnel significantly shortens the users’ commute time. For example, driving to Quarry Bay from Central now only takes 5 to 10 minutes, which is 35 to 40 minutes faster than in the past.
With the characteristics of glossy finish and durability, TECO VE panels not only increase the visibility inside the tunnel but also create a safe and pleasant driving environment for motorists.
