Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is an international airport serving Taipei and northern Taiwan. Terminal 1 is the original passenger terminal of the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, opened in 1979 to relieve the overcrowded Taipei Songshan Airport. In 2018, Taiwan Taoyuan handled a record 46.5 million passengers and 2.3 billion kg of freight, making it the 11^th busies airport worldwide by international passenger traffic, and 8^th busiest in terms of international freight traffic in 2018.

In 2012, the renovation project of the terminal was completed, doubling the floor area. In this project, TECO fabricated 1,100 m² of white and black vitreous enamel panels which were installed as beam cladding panels in Terminal 1. The vitreous enamel beam cladding panels has high durability and almost maintenance-free and cleaning advantages which are ideal cladding material for the public spaces.
