Nangang Software Park Station, Taiwan

Area: 2,500m² | Year of Completion: 2008

Nangang Software Park station locates in the Nangang District in Taipei, Taiwan. It is a station on the Wenhu Line (Brown Line) of the Taipei Metro system and locates between Donghu station and Nangang Exhibition Center station. Construction of the Nangang Software Park station was completed on 22 February 2009. This station is named after the Nankang Software Park in its vicinity.

In this project, TECO fabricated and supplied 2,500m² of vitreous enamel panels to this station. The VE panels were installed as the wall cladding and column cladding at the concourse level as well as the wall decoration panels adjacent to the escalators and stairways. The artwork theme of Nangang Software Park Station is “Digitalization”. By adding stainless-steel bars on vitreous enamel panels, the designer intends to bring an image of barcodes to the public and create an E-digitized theme for this station.

The white coating finish of the vitreous enamel panels stands out the figure of the barcodes and the glossy finish of them contributes modern and aesthetic features to the station. VE panel surface is extremely smooth and low static. In addition, its rust-proof, vandal-resistant, chemical resistant, fire-proof features, and easy-to-maintain surface render them an unrivaled position among the wall cladding materials in heavy traffic public facilities.
