Sentosa Gateway Tunnel, Singapore

Area: 6,800m² | Year of Completion: 2017

Sentosa Gateway Tunnel opened on 27 April 2017. The Sentosa Gateway Tunnel is a one-way road tunnel that connects outbound traffic from Sentosa Island directly to Lower Delta Road and Keppel Road. It helps alleviate the current congestion experienced at the busy at-grade traffic junctions at Sentosa Gateway, Telok Blangah Road, Kampong Bahru Road and Lower Delta Road, especially during evening peak hours and the weekends.

TECO supplied 6,800 m² of white vitreous enamel panels for this project. A few of them are the vitreous enamel signage panels printed with the Emergency exit patterns which can easily be seen while driving through the tunnel. The TECO VE tunnel panels are extremely durable and need very little maintenance and cleaning. Moreover, they are totally non-combustible. They will neither ignite nor burn and will, depending on the design and the nature of the backing materials, provide fire ratings of a minimum of two hours. Hence. they are perfect materials for the high-traffic area like Sentosa Gateway Tunnel. It brings safe and enjoyable environments for motorists.
