Woodleigh MRT Station, Singapore

Area: 600m² | Year of Completion: 2003

Woodleigh MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the North-East line, located in the planning subzone of Bidadari, in Toa Payoh, Singapore underneath Upper Serangoon Road, at the junction with Upper Aljunied Road and Youngberg Terrace. The station is built on part of the former Bidadari Cemetery and will serve the upcoming Bidadari estate.

In this project, TECO fabricated and supplied 600m² of vitreous enamel panels to this station. The VE panels were installed at the concourse level and platform level.

Vitreous Enamel panel is the best and long-lasting wall cladding material against corrosion, abrasion, and scratches. Vitreous enamel coating has a glass and ceramic-like finish. It allows advertising stickers to paste upon it and no glue remains after advertising stickers are removed. Hence, It’s an optimal wall cladding panel choice for station commercial use. In addition, it is a robust, durable, and creative cladding solution that be used effectively in high-traffic areas.
