Digital Printing | Year of Completion: 2010

Xingtian Temple station is a metro station served by Taipei Metro. Besides Xingtian Temple, Xingtian Temple Market and Songjiang Market are also notable in this area.

Named after the famous temple in the neighborhood, the MRT station features marvelous public artworks that blend elements of local religious customs. Another special feature of the station is the artistically adorned walls along the track. Selected music scores written by seven professors at the Taipei National University of the Arts spans the length of the walls, with the musical notes appearing to dance in front of the eyes of passengers aboard the trains.

TECO fabricated and supplied vitreous enamel panels with the musical note graphics to this project for the wall cladding of the tracks along with the station platforms. Vitreous enamel panels are remarkably resistant to atmospheric exposure. They can resist acids and alkalis and are often used for protection from high-temperature gases. It is impenetrable to water and oxygen, and it provides a smooth, aesthetical surface that is easy to clean.
